💡 This Week’s Gritty Thought
Slow down to Speed Up
In police training, most notably, firearms, we learn “slow is smooth, smooth is fast.” If you rush the draw, you get stuck. If you get frustrated, you’ll yank on that thing and won’t defeat the retention. Same goes for any action. If you rush things, you are immediately sloppy.
So when we feel ourselves catapulting through life – juggling life, family, career, sleep schedules, kid activities, no WONDER we are getting sloppy. Most of you reading are the type that need to be reminded to power down, not up. Most of us are doers, and we want to do the most, the best way.
However, there is power in taking pause. If you walk rather than run, you can take more inventory, you can observe more. You can reflect and evaluate what’s working and what’s not. You can optimize.
So in today’s age, where things are rapidly evolving, I invite you to embrace this challenge with me to sloooooow doooooown… for grit’s sake!

☀️Wellness 🍎
I posted about creatine recently and many questions have come up. (Check out my sweet reel I made on IG back in mid Feb). Here!
What is it? It’s a naturally occurring nutrient, predominantly in (red) meat and seafood.
What started as a very niche bodybuilder supplement has grown to be recognized as one of the most studied nutritional and fitness supplements out there. Scientists/docs/health pros are finding more benefits to creatine, beyond muscle build and strength/endurance (yes, more reps and more endurance volume for runners, cyclers, etc). It has also been shown to have positive cognitive benefits!
Here’s a link from the Mayo Clinic which relays how it helps BRAIN ENERGY!
And here’s a link where you can find it plain/micronized OR with flavor. Don’t forget discount code: BLUEGRIT for 10% off! This link has it set up up already!
